Mike Wheaton - UVC Fundraising Chair
Mike Wheaton has over three decades of experience in nonprofit administration specifically with veterans’ service organizations, mental wellness providers and entities assisting individuals with developmental and physical challenges. After relocating to Colorado from New York City in 2002, he founded Web Welder – a digital design, development, and internet marketing firm which initially focused on assisting nonprofit organizations build awareness and funding. The concept grew to provide services to commercial clients which has enabled the company to provide grants and pro bono services to various nonprofits.
Currently, he volunteers his time and expertise as an advisor and an executive committee member for the United Veterans Coalition of Colorado, as a board member for Promise Ranch Therapies and Recreation, as an advisor for the Colorado Junior Wheelchair Sports Camp and as an active mental health advocate.
Currently he rides as the executive director for Helping Heroes – a national service organization providing programming for veterans, active military members and first responders.
